Posture & Pilates Autumn Intensive

So many of us spend a lot of time sitting in front of a screen of some kind. It can sometimes feel like we are becoming chair shaped!  If this is you, join me Sat/Sun 29th - 30th April for a weekend of nurturing Pilates instruction, exercise and education.  Begin building strength, balance and resilience to see you through the cold months.  You can expect to learn something about your body and brain AND take home a tool box of exercises to improve your posture.

Cost: $120 p.p   1.5hrs each day. Limited to 8 people.  Includes a spiky massage ball and a pair of Moveactive Pilates socks.

So, I'm back in the Studio after a gorgeous Christmas break.  Good times with Family and Friends had. A decent dose of beach therapy.  A new hairy member of our little clan.  Welcome 2017.   Bring it.

Words of Wisdom from the Youngest Yogi

Last week The Youngest Yogi stopped by the studio and tried out the foam roller.  He says that it's great for challenging balance reactions and core control.  He also told me that adult humans can use it to mobilise tight bits and strengthen weak bits. Cool huh?

My little mate Court stopped by again this morning to show me his new moves.  He reminded me to spend some time on my tummy.  He says that pushing up off the floor into extension can be excellent for spinal strength and mobility.

 As well as Clinical Pilates, Court really likes shoes.

The other day, my wee friend Court paid a visit to Clinical Pilates class.  He reminded us to check our breathing pattern and position on the mat.  He also taught us that synchronised pilates is a thing.  Thanks Court!
